Newsletter, Edition 6.0

Shared Value Initiative

Dear Colleague,

As the Shared Value Initiative India completes its first year of inception we would like to share some of the activities & initiatives completed last year.

  • A very thoughtful and insightful Lab session was conducted at the Global Shared Value Leadership Summit 2016 on May 10, at Conrad, NewYork. The session focussed on how nonprofits, impact investors, corporations and social enterprises can work together to bridge the entrepreneurial gap through innovative business models and collaboration in emerging markets.
  • Inclusive Business List – 21 Indian enterprises that are making a difference and advancing on the journey of shared value.
  • Shared Value Summit 2015 – The summit brought together shared value practitioners and leaders who are looking at making a difference to the world through positive capitalistic business models. We had the pleasure of hosting Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Mark Kramer, MD, FSG at the summit. The recap of the summit could be looked here

Taking it further some of our upcoming events and activities are:

  • Social Enterprise Summit – July 1, The Lalit, Mumbai. The summit looks at the idea of Conscious Capitalism and how Social Entrepreneurs are moving towards Shared Value. More details about the event can be looked here
  • Shared Value Summit 2016 – November 18, The Leela, Gurgaon. The theme of the summit would be “Transforming Socio-Economic Landscape – Role of Corporates, Government and Social Enterprises.”
  • Programs – We would soon be announcing the dates for the programs on shared value.

We look forward to having a continued engagement with our members, partners and other community members.

Regards

Sandeep Goyal
