Shared Value Initiative India: January 2017

Dear Colleague,

As we enter the year 2017 with new hopes and commitments, it is a great pleasure for me to share and reflect upon the key achievements from 2016.

The shared value idea is gaining increasing traction, belief and adoption by the enterprises in India. We have seen that during the Social Enterprise Summit, Porter Prize for Creating Shared Value, Partner’s Day, Shared Value Summit, and launch of Inclusive Business List in 2016.

From a conceptual perspective, Harvard Business Review publication “The Ecosystem of Shared Value” adds a new dimension to the shared value thinking.

The credit goes to you for pushing forward the belief that businesses can transform the world into a better place using the shared value orientation and inclusive business models.

We will keep pushing the boundaries and continue with our endeavour to expand the shared value knowledge platform. Look forward to your continuous support and engagement with the initiative.

Best Regards
Sandeep Goyal
CEO, Shared Value Initiative India

Social Enterprise Summit 2016: July 1

This summit saw the convergence of great minds, businesses and social enterprises who believe in conscious capitalism and shared value as a way forward for sustainable economic growth and wider social impact.

Porter Prize on Creating Shared Value: September 30

Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Abbott India shared the Porter Prize for Creating Shared Value. The award was given to these enterprises for their outstanding performance in the industry and to recognize the high impact as an organization that created economic success by redefining markets, products, a way of doing business, creating collaborative efforts and in turn creating societal and economic progress.

Partners Day: November 17

The Partners Day proved to be an insightful knowledge sharing platform, which facilitated conversations around the possibilities of the adoption of shared value practices in the Indian context.

Shared Value Summit: November 18

This summit welcomed more than 150 participants ranging from academic experts, leaders of top enterprises, thought leaders, young entrepreneurs, story-tellers and government dignitaries. The key theme of the summit revolved around the role of emerging shared value business models in changing the face of capitalism.

Inclusive Business List 2016

One thing, which encourages us every year is realizing the fact that businesses around us are increasingly becoming conscious and willing to integrate the social good into their core business models. This realization motivates us every year to identify such inclusive business ideas and share their story with the world in the form of Inclusive Business List….more

Voicing our Opinion

It has always been our endeavour to push our ideas and thoughts to enable large scale adoption of shared value practices in India. Creating Shared Value is indeed a strategic approach for the corporates, who are aiming to make a sustainable social and environmental contribution to the needs of the underserved segment.
