Overview
In recent years, there is growing discussion on how businesses can move beyond the narrow view of Philanthropy and CSR. The idea today is to have a fundamental relook at business models, drivers of competitive advantage, social problems being solved and value being created by firms.
Keeping the above idea in mind Shared Value India Initiative (SVII) was setup to connect business and community leaders towards defining the practice of shared value. The initiative is committed towards bringing forward the realization, understanding, adoption and implementation of the best practices for creating shared value among the companies, civil society and government organizations in India, thereby accelerating the economic and social progress towards a more equitable and sustainable world.
Driven by this principle SVII is excited to share a brief for the Inclusive Business Platform. Inclusive business platform looks at –
• Celebrating enterprises that are redefining the role of businesses in society
• Focus on knowledge generation and dissemination
• Create conversations on the idea of economic and social objectives that drive the economic growth of the country
The ‘Inclusive Business Platform’ is an effort to celebrate the Enterprises that have adopted the shared value orientation by developing profitable business models around tangible social and environmental needs. The project involves the creation of an authentic list of enterprises involved in addressing social problems as a part of their business models.

The integrated set-up of the website and mobile app will showcase the shared value approach of selected enterprises.
Our website and mobile application will be used to create an online connect and share forum. Publications
The compilation of caselets and case studies will further disseminate the shared value orientation of the selected enterprises.
The project will document the shared value initiative of the selected enterprises in the form of an Inclusive Business List and Compendium. This list will be launched at our annual Shared Value Summit on November 18, 2016, by a special government dignitary. This will be followed by the compilation of a detailed Compendium comprising case studies and other relevant information of these enterprises. Shared Value Summit
An annual event for facilitating dialogue and conversations around the experiences of shared value thinkers and entrepreneurs.
The Summit looks at creating thought leadership and action agenda for the Indian enterprises in achieving the social and economic balance. Some of the themes we would discuss pertain to Shared Value business models, the role of metrics, and scalability models et al. We seek to bring to the fore the importance of shared value in India and make it an important part of the corporate consciousness and business models.
The event will have Nobel Laureates Muhammad Yunus and Kailash Satyarthi keynoting the event and sharing their perspective, experiences, and knowledge on the role of businesses in society.
